dvr-2

Post by JazzyDJ » Sun May 11, 2008 11:06 pm

This is a format used when you record with windows media player. Not sure but I think it's a form of mpeg.

Has any one here ever edited with DVR footage as your source? Should it be converted or is it cool to edit it straight off the broadcast? I imagine trying to convert a 10GB file to a lossless would end up rediculously outrageous, and pretty much be a farce.

What do you suggest to keep decent quality? I haven't seen any tutorials on this yet.

It's the only way to get TV shows with fresh episodes on to my PC for editing.

I plan on doing some live action videos as well. Mostly sports stuff.

You know what? I just realized I wrote the wrong last word up there. I meant to say Windows Media Center.

Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the reply too, by the way. :)

well if all else fails play with the settings until you get a top quality one, or an easily accessible one.
