Uuuhhhhhh, sorry about that, I haven't had much sleep and I was quite impolite with my comments there. I went to sleep almost as soon as I wrote that and I just woke up so let me pass on some constructive critisism rather than the absurdness from my last post

1. The first page seems completely unwarented, It may be a cute joke amongst your friends but if you plan on it being more than just for you and your friends I would suggest that the front page just have a splashscreen with the website name on it and none of that "No FBI people can visit this site, blah blah blah" You only find that on websites that have illegaly copies of software.

2. The main page once you enter is all "helter skelter". include text with the pictures that is visible without having to "mouse over" it. And include a summary of why the website exists that is short and to the point.

I can't see the site anymore, so I geuss you told your friend and he took it down for some re-vamping. I can't give anymore advice on it since I can't remember anymore of the website.

I'd like to apologize once again for my inanity in my previous post, sorry about that.

I realize I am far from a professional web designer. My goal was not to have a good looking site, i wanted a freaky and useless one for the time being. I purposely made it not make any sense. Kind of like the artist throwing random paint on a pallete and calling it 'art'; i just threw random shit together and called it my creation, my page.

I am waiting to get a good a job so I can afford a decent line of bandwidth, once this occurs I will begin hosting lots of peoples pages for free. I have a basic layout for that future page. It is <a href="http://fdam.org:8000/other/future%20web ... ">here.</a> The crappy page that is up now is just a placeholder. If you want to critize a page please make your complaints about the new link. This page is still in development, so please don't be too harsh. I know that page isn't great either, but I'm satisfied with it.

Lastly, thanks for you opinions. I like feedback, even if it is negative.

That's a crap hosting plan. 5MB of space is nothing, SSI is crap for a good website, no CGI/PHP/ASP/Perl/etc., there can never be unlimited bandwidth, and unless you have a T3 or faster connection, you don't have a fast server.

Yeah. Your right, there is no such thing as unlimited bandwidth. And your right 5mbs isn't much. But hey, its better than nothing. And its better than all the other free hosts that make you put banners on your page.

I'm working on getting a T1 line, and a couple more hard drives. But what can i say, I'm poor collegge kid with very limited funds.

That 5mb "no feature" account is just gonna be default accounts for people. That way idiots that want to make personal webpages or webpages about their cats or whatever stupid shit they can. I'm setting it up so that if you want more space or PHP and MySQL access you have to talk to me personally, through email or instant messaging. I kinda talk about it <a href="http://fdam.org:8000/other/future%20web ... ">here.</a> This will allow me to grant good people with the stuff they need to make a great site, and keep stupid bastards from abusing the server.

Yeah, it's always good to enter this area cautiously. We had an experience a while back where someone started offering free web space (starting size of like 40 mg) and he got totally abused on it.
