Sad AMV

I wanna attempt a sentimental AMV. I will probably use something like KAnon (2006). ANy ideas for music? Nothing obscene or innapropiate please, this AMV will be rated E 10+

What kind of sad are we talking about here? Sad like someone just got dumped? Sad like someone just died?

the only sad one i can think of off the top off my head is Kimi ga Nozomu Eien = Rumbling Hearts , oh and Chrono Crusade i cried like a little school girl on those 2 animes

zomfg, I've been waiting for someone to ask for a song for Kanon since I've been having a few ideas in my head yet I don't have Kanon and am just too lazy to edit them. Would be awesome to see them edited so take a look if you should get interested =P

Lush - Kiss Chase or Placebo - Sleeping With Ghosts would make a good Ayu video.

Placebo - Special Needs would make a good Mai amv. It just requires heavy symbolics and not taking the lyrics so literally..

I have all the DVDs so I can make one. But I should be more specific.

Sad, "happy" ending. I'm going to end it with the final scene from the series. I want to show the progression of Ayu's and Yuichi's relationship. I'm going to include the sad parts and have the first kiss somewhere in the middle. After the kiss a bunch of sad parts will follow and then end with the final (happy) scene.

Something that follows this type of story (This is the order it will go in my AMV)

Meets Ayu for first time (actually the second time because of when they were kids)
Stuff happens (sad and happy)
Remembers the REAL first time they met (in past)
Kiss
Sad stuff
Happy end.

So any songs that would follow this kind of thing? In that order.

I feel that the perfect song is out there somewhere. Though I could probably write it myself (I have some musician friends), I'd prefer to use a song that already exists.

I'd have the perfect song for you, but sadly it has no happy end like you need it. But maybe you could turn this into an interesting AMV that has well no happy end for one time? Kinda heavy suggestion here but it might work good. Well anyway this song is all over actually sad, but I'll still suggest it.
