Magic the Gathering Maryland State Championship 2003.
Now why does it seem like when you have something that is going to work almost perfectly something goes wrong or do you think that the deck can actually sense things eventhough how wierd that sounds. I ended up losing my first three rounds but then battled back to win my next 4. So overall I finished 28th out of 83 this year not bad. But during my 4th round my atitude changed. Like when I was in a match I was thinking to be fast and rothless. It actually happened the deck worked so fast and tore my opponent to pieces. I manage to do it twice in two games to pull a third turn Shivan Dragon. Then I continue on through the night dominating my other opponents up to the 7th round showing the fury and true power of the deck. The 7th round was a hard fought victory but I won it in the best 2 out of 3. Not to sound crazy. But what do you think can decks actually scense things or have atitude problems?

Wow, I never expected to hear about Magic on these boards. As far as your deck responding to your attitude goes, that's pure metaphysics. Attitude can really affect your play style though and fast, aggresive body language can sometimes cow your opponent. It's hard to say anything else without more information.
When I become an Evil Overlord my Legions of Terror will be an equal-opportunity employer. Conversely, when it is prophesied that no man can defeat me, I will keep in mind the increasing number of non-traditional gender roles.

Attitude does effect your building of a deck. Example: I've always been a dark commanding person, so I have black cards in all my decks. I have a black deck, black/red, black/green, and my ultimate black/white deck. It's got the Angel of retribution, Carrion Wurm, Grotesque Hybrid, Commander Esha, and Icorid. All good cards. My friends deck has the potential though to be the ultimate deck. It's an all-color deck with 3 of the 5 avatars (Avatar of might, green,Woe,black, and Will, blue).

What kind of deck were you using? I usually make decks based on a theme to just have fun with. Like a Black/White Shadow deck, or a Red Dragon deck. I do semi believe though that my Green Spike deck is blessed by a higher power. For a deck I made just because I was bored it has a notorious habit of winning at the last second against all odds.
But as for your original question, I think most of that has to do solely with the player. It's not the deck, it's your mind set as you decide what to use in your hand. If you are thinking aggressively you will play aggressively. If you are thinking you'll lose you will probably over look something and lose. Luck still plays a factor, but if you built a good deck it should play well even if luck is against you.

I am pretty good at magic, it's just damn hard to find players when the only comic store in town closed. Nobody plays Pokemon much anymore, and I don't want to make little kids cry, so I'm pretty much out when it comes to card games. I got the same problem with Yugioh, not to mention the fact that it isn't as good as Magic or Pokemon and I don't have many cards anyway.
Though about Pokemon, I am practically unbeatable. The only times I have lost are when I had a bad draw or when my opponent had an extremely good one. To prove this, I made a Team Rocket theme deck. Only pokemon used by the people in Team Rocket on the show would be in my deck (this was before Neo so no Wob). The only rares were a Jungle Victreebel and Here Comes Team Rocket, which helps my opponent more than it does me, what with my shitty deck and all.
I never lost with that deck. I never got a bad draw, I almost couldn't. I just kept kicking ass with Arbok, Weezing, and Persian. It was fucking hilarious.

Oh yeah, five color decks suck if your opponent can hose even one of the colors. In short, five color decks are very hard to make, play, and win with, usually relying on a specific card or combo to win such as Coalition Victory.
I'm not saying their bad, but to say that it could be the ultimate deck makes you sound like a 10-year old "power gamer". There is no ultimate deck, but you probably already know that...man, I sound like a dick.
I have a pretty cool Black/White creature removal deck. However, lately it has been getting mana screwed...
Oh, and Blue/Black counter/discard decks are very annoying,
I love mine

I understand where your comming from. He does have Coalition Victory in there but he always tells me it sucks though. As for the avatars he doesn't use them that much. However he is by far no ameature. I have only beaten this deck once, and he also holds his new white/blue deck in much higher regard (I couldn't beat it with his all color deck, but he is just that much beter than me). He also thought about entering that Maryland tournement but decided not to.
