so like when i edit them in gimp what format should i export the pics as, and once i make all these pics and put them in order in vegas they will appear to move>?
or will it just show a bunch of picz?

that depends on how long you want the clips to last, if you have several images one after another per frame it would seem you have discovered the essence of animation. O.o however if you have it last a few seconds you will have a slideshow...

all video is, is a sequence of images anyways

and when you export from the gimp you want either psd format or png...

psd is better though.

why is psd better. and one more question, should i export my clip in jpeg sequence in After effects or a different format.

TIFF is feasible as well. It can use LZW compression (lossless) and retain layers and transparencies. The file size tends to be a bit smaller too. (Only marginally though.)

That said, I still use PSD myself. :up:
