Visual Lag

Post by Joyrok » Sun Apr 27, 2008 9:44 pm

I've just hit a problem with Adobe Premiere Pro CS3, my preview video sequence frame lags a lot, to the point where I couldn't really watch any movies or clips I put into the main sequence because the video has at least a 1 second lag. I've got enough RAM and a decent video card used for gaming to handle the video aspect... the program is lagging or there's something I'm missing.

could be many things:

1) right click the sequence preview window and set quality -> draft quality.
2) Are the project settings for fps and footage's fps the same?
3) Divx/Xvid?
