Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hey Anths555 :D

I have watched your AMV and I must say that I can't really see the year of work you put in there, but it was better than I suspected it to be. Your editing style is pretty solid and I could actually see some sync. What I missed was something like a story away from the anime. You pretty much gave me scenes which fit to the music and everything, but for someone like me who hasn't seen the anime it was pretty boring. I would have liked to see something, which I could also relate to. Yet you only showed me girls flying around and casting some spells. I lost interest in watching further than minute 2. As I said, it wasn't bad for the first attempt, but next time I would try to edit not just for the people, who have seen the anime. You'll get a much bigger audience by doing that.

bla blub technical issues .... try to read the guides for a better visual quality...

Truthfully being a person who knows this show inside and out, i would have liked to see more action, more sync... more connection to Sakura and the song... This is a really upbeat song, and especially after that opening sequence I'd have loved to see more movement and faster cuts... some of the clips dragged a little.

you had a few technical issues:

1. the aspect ratio of the first movie was stretched
2. wmv was kinda low quality audio/video...

overall (don't take this the wrong way) I was expecting total crap but I was impressed to see more potential than anything else...
(I once left a really long nasty review to an amv of the same combination that pretty much said it was so bad that I should just edit the video myself O.o heh)

Keep up the good work, and with more experience you could be a really good editor.
