I haven't seen NGE yet, but I know I could easily recognize Jessica's voice if I watch it.

I've seen the first volume Boogiepop Phantom. Who is Moto again? I don't remember if she was in one of those first 4 eps.

Actually believe it or not, when we met Jessica Calvello at Ushicon, they had just finshed recording the First 5 Episodes of Excel Saga and they debuted it at Ushicon 1.

Good times.

Plus she loves Grand Theft Auto III

That's a cool little piece of info to know. GTA3 is AWESOME! Wow, that's cool that she likes it too! I wonder if she also likes the more Anime-style games like Devil May Cry or Capcom Vs SNK 2? (Well, maybe it is rude of me to assume that she likes all Anime-related material just because she's an Anime dubber.... PLEASE FORGIVE ME, LADY CALVELLO!!)

Well, I always loved to watch the Subs over Dubs on any Anime, anytime! But then, I saw Excel Saga in Dub.... and well... WOW!!! Lady Calvello's (she has earned much respect from me as you can see

) awesome, passionate, heartful voice acting overwhelmed me!! And has many others too! No one matches her in Anime dubbing!! SHE'S SO COOL!!! But then, now she has to stop voice acting for a little bit....

nooo.... SHE DOESN'T DESERVE THAT!!

Well.. there's not much more that I can say except for: YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THE EXCEL SAGA DVDs AFTER YOU HEAR HER VOICE AND ACTING!!!! The Sub of Excel Saga is REALLY INSANELY GREAT too!! And the Dub just gets better with Jessica's awesome voice and ADV's extra jokes added to the original. (Added being a keyword, as they didn't take away anything from the original script.)

Here's how I understand it.

ADV had a contract with Jessica. In the contract, they promised that she would have X amount of time to rest between recordings of EXCEL SAGA

ADV did not stick to the contract and Jessica lost her voice. She went to the Hospital, but only to have doctor check on her abused vocal chords)

Jessica left Excel because ADV broke the contract, but I know she bore no ill feelings to ADV... but she refused to risk her voice further.

This is how I understand the situation to be...

I also believe Jessica did Excel up to Episode 13... but can't really be sure.

I'm hoping I run into Jessica at OhayoCon so I can ask her the details myself.

Shes the voice for the elf priestess in Those who hunt elves also and she's really funny. As for dub versus sub it's how you hear it first unless it truly is a very dub like in the case of love hina.
