Well I like the db/dbz and what I have seen of dbgt, I have a big collection of dbz and quite a bit of db on dvd and enjoy the series. But I wanted to see db vids with other songs besides linkin and creed. and there was just so many of them...

Just in case anyone's too lazy to click the links and read the posts, here's my POV: If the creator wants to do it, and they feel it's a good, solid idea, go for it. I support anyone who wants to make an AMV they feel is important to them. However, if it's a Linkinball Z video, don't expect much response from it, or that many people to watch it.

Did you forget to write the prototype for that function? The compilers gonna have a field day with your scrips. I recomend turning verbose mode off.

It's not the anime that counts. It's how you use it.
It's not how popular a band is. It's how good they actually are.

[rant]
On the Anime front.
Personally I find Mr Oni's list of overused anime... disturbing
- Cowboy Bebop was considered overused before I was even able to get my hands on the DVDs (so far only vol 1-4 have been released down here) BTW I was grossly disappointed by this series.
- Outlaw Star hasn't been released down here (although from the few fan-subs I've seen, I'm not missing much)
- Love Hina, only the first 2 DVDs have been released, I didn't think it would appeal that much with the broader US community. Possibly the excessive violence might have something to do with it.

And to all of the people who mock DBZ for being plotless. Some of the best anime series I'm currently watching could be said to have no real plot whatsoever. ie Azumanga Daioh, Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu.

On the Music front.
I really have no idea what the music scene is like in the US. However if it's anything the MTV Video Music Awards that I saw the other week (very delayed telecast) I pity you. I really hope for the sake of US music that there are alternatives.
I listen to a radio station that has a strong dedication to music, the arts, regional and foreign film and literature. As opposed to filling the wallets of their numerous corporate bed-fellows (it's govt funded so they can afford to be this way). Most all of the tracks they play are by artists that won't be found on the top 40 and those that are, deserve to be.
