  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

The video is a little blocky, working on a cleaner one.

Awwww.... sad.

This could have been so great, so much better! I mean yeah it´s not bad, but I´m not really pleased with it. See...

-First of all I think it´s time to upgrade to h.264 in a proper mp4. Anyway I think that your cleaning could be better. The quality was acceptable, but better quality = more fun watching it.

-Sync. That´s what really bugs me. Sometimes the motion, the hardcuts left such hectic feeling for such a smooth and more relaxing song. I really wished that you would have dropped some hard cuts for the sake of simpel cross fades.
I had much more problems with the vid when you folowed to sync the singers voice. Means: Scene change with every word sometimes. It was really disturbing and often screwed the atmosphere for me.

-Just a guess: Is there something wrong with the aspect ratios? I think so. Check the guides here...

3.45/5
Not that bad, but could have been way better in editing to build up a much more intense mood and atmosphere.

Thanx for the advice

- Trying to clean up the video quality now, after I realized the blocky-ness.
- Yeah about the aspect ratio, clipping off frame slips and fixing wide screen
footage to 4:3 does that.
- Tend to put too much story in my video's so a lot of hars cuts got made

I´m not sure if you mean the same thing that I do. Well anyway this guide will help you:

The Avisynth methods seamed to be strange for me, but they really made wonders for my Project Gateway track wich I had to transform from 16:9 to 4:3.

Avisnyth gives me a headache..
I used straight huffies for everything and used Vegas to crop sections and make
them look right. The old eva footage has a dumb line that flickers at the top of it and so did key the metal idol. I just wish I knew how to make a good script for my huffy to remove some of the blocks.

Mackroblocking usualy comes from source that was already compressed. *cough* fansubs *cough*

If you need to write scripts, there is no way to avoid Avisynth. It´s not hard to understand. Just give it another try ;)
It´s just the base for so much things!

So is the title your way of telling us that you quit and this will be the last video you ever make?
