I think the only time I've ever had major issues with a computer was when it was shared/family computer... once I got my own computer I knew that if anything went wrong with it then it was my own fault.... which is much easier to deal with than not knowing what the computer newbs (that are my family) are doing to screw it up.

crappy software and bloatware
cheap or shoddily built components

Eh, I've been happy with my computers ever since I stopped buying brand-names and started assembling my own. When you pick your own parts, operating system, software, periphs and everything else, it gives you much control over it. You know everything that's gone into it, how it's all set up and what to do if/when a problem arises.
