Intro to AMVs

Most times i show them a amv to a song which they like. Or one of my works XD

You need an enormous tolerance for that kind of ecchi/fanservice, (pardon the pun). I would say I have a pretty high tolerance for that kind of stuff, and that one seriously scared me. (And like Katie said, made my chest (and back) hurt.

While I do love the Neverending Love amv... I don't think hentai set to the Neverending Story theme song is going to be the best way to start people off...

I'm still wondering if I should go for something new or classic though.

it doesn't matter if its new or old, as long as its a good one...

seriously pick a video to a song that the person likes, they will more than likely like it more or think some bastard ruined their favorite song - either way is win. :3

Sometimes it's for parody. Case in point: Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemi.

Since I've never watched Eiken, I can't say if that's the case. Most of the time, shows with very well-endowed female characters are there primarily for fanservice (Burst Angel, Dragonaut, Witchblade, heck - most Gonzo shows, Godannar, Grenadier, etc.), if the show isn't outright Ecchi (the aformentioned Eiken, Green Green, Kanokon, etc.) which then it's primarily about the fanservice.

And, yes, Eiken is ridiculous.

Usually, I'll ask my friends what anime is their favorite if they're into it and pick an action, comedy or upbeat amv that I love. Since most of the people around here typically have only seen Naruto, DBZ, or Bleach that usually means showing either Castor Troy's "Naruto Ball Z" video or Decoy's "Bleach Technique Beat".

Otherwise, I'll ask them for a few of their favorite songs until I have a good video to show them.

Failing all that, I'll just pick a favorite of mine, usually a great comedy video like GreenJinjo's "Little Tortilla Boy" parody trailer or AD's "I Wish I was a Lesbian".
