Easy tutorials Or Something Like That For Vegas 7.0

Hi i'm a newbie at Sony Vegas and i'm currently trying to find out how I can cut a clip out of one anime and put it into another background.

Does anyone know any easy tutorials I can follow for practice?

I've already figured put how to reach the screen in which I cut out the parts, but I don't know how to move them around or how to make those little ticks in the timeline.

I've been putting together tons of screencaps and videos when people ask specific questions.

the effect you are looking for is called Masking, and it's mentioned several times in that first "guide" i mentioned.
