Uh in the good old days people didn't seizure their videos :/ so I donno what you are talking about like it's a "new trend" to not try to bash the viewer over the head with every drum beat. But then again I've been watching videos since late 1999-2000 :/Kevmaster wrote:More the Opposite.

^That is exactly what I'm talking about. More and More people start denying and underappreciating a well synched Video and it turns out lots of Videos have barely any synching at all and just look plain boring.JaddziaDax wrote:Uh in the good old days people didn't seizure their videos :/ so I donno what you are talking about like it's a "new trend" to not try to bash the viewer over the head with every drum beat. On the Other hand theres the kind of people who start spamming visual effect crap, which is even worse imho.
a Video doesn't have to synch every tiny beat, but I'd like to have at least some appropiate synching in a video, otherwise I could just turn on music and throw a dvd in my player and watch em together.

but as I said, that is not a "new trend" you are acting like that is a "new mentality" to do slower editing or something. The "new trend" that comes with seizure videos is the seizure videos themselves... (I've only really seen them since like 2003-2004)
Some people find flashing random crap on drumbeats boring because if they wanted that they could just watch a wmp visualization in front of a strobe light...
Cutsync isn't the end all be all of syncing, internal sync gives more of an emotional response for me because I can actually SEE wtf is going on in this video and not just a bunch of flashes of crap that barely registers.
The non-seizure video has been around a lot longer than the seizure video, so your mentality of liking the flashing of crap is the "new trend" in comparison.

I am not talking about seizure-Videos, I am talking about beat-synched Videos in general.JaddziaDax wrote:but as I said, that is not a "new trend" you are acting like that is a "new mentality" to do slower editing or something. And then color correct what doesn't need or never imagined to be color corrected?Kevmaster wrote:I am not talking about seizure-Videos, I am talking about beat-synched Videos in general.JaddziaDax wrote:but as I said, that is not a "new trend" you are acting like that is a "new mentality" to do slower editing or something.
