Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

A tribute to my favourite anime and composer.

I think that next month I'll edit a more accurate version of this AMV (with a better sinch in the fast scenes). Too many AMV better than mine in this site... I must evolve!

It wasn't too bad. The music was a little too upbeat for the footage you were using, though.

Also, it feels too much like Media Vita in Morte Sumus by Kevin Caldwell.

Nice sync at times, though.

Yes, you're right (and this is the main reason why I have to edit once again!)

Not sure of that... Lots of EVA's AMV use classical music and operas, and "Media Vita in Morte Sumus" (that I saw few days ago... fortunately after the editing of my AMV) has a very different rithm (I guess Gloria in Excelsis Deo is Allegro/Andante) and more long pauses... in two words I consider "Media Vita in Morte Sumus" a more evocative and "fragmented" opera.

Well, I'm no expert with classical music, but I've seen quite a few NGE videos and I've only seen two with classical music. So, yeah, that's where my comparison came from.

Oh really? It's strange... Youtube is full of that (it's another world compared to this site - that I appreciate so much -).
However thank you again for posting your impressions! :D

Nicely done, Kerosotros! I love the classical idea. Keep it up!
