Help installing vegas.

Now, I had vegas before. But I never learned to use it. It was useless space on my disk...

I took it off my disk.

But now I want to reinstall it and it keeps getting through the extraction and it makes a programs folder. But it stops and shows the above.

I've gone to the website and tried to install the required component.

But the file is always messed up. Something about a .dll or something is missing/etc.

Now what I'm asking is, Where can I find that component? If I can't find it, how can I go about fixing this problem?

Edit:(I just retried installing the program. And I decided to check my program list. And guess what?

SO might I just ask....Wtf?

O:

try uninstalling .net 1.1, re-install
also, post the error message about the dll thing you mentioned (if it happens again)

Chances are, if you need to, you can download that .dll file and stick it in whatever folder you need it in. I've had to do that for something before, though I forget what my problem was exactly. Still, it's a viable possibility.

Come to think of it though, isn't Microsoft at .NET Framework 2.0 now anyway? You could try that~
... yea ...

not really...programs that need .net framework 2.0 won't work if you do.
just uninstall and reinstall (and if something says that it needs a specific version of .net you need to get that version.)

Well, I would like to thank all of the people who stopped long enough to help me(noob) out.

I restored my computer back a couple months and I was able to install the program.

I'm gonna try and not be lazy anymore. Ya know, actually make an amv.

Thanks guys. I'll remember you all when I rule the world.
