Disable resample is vegas

I'm getting tired of forgetting to turn off the resample whenever I put a clip in the time line and then going through all the cuts I just did and changing them. Is there a setting somewhere that automatically disables it for everything I put on the time line so I would only use it when I want it? I've looked but I haven't found one.
