Just Wave Hello (To Brawl)
This is my first video that I have made in almost a year (the last one was on 3/31/07). I went with this song after either listening to the song in this video, or watching the original music video. Regardless, the idea of a dawn of a new era came to mind with this song. For whatever reason, I played this over one of the Brawl trailers by coincidence and the two felt perfect. So, I decided to make a GMV with this song. Of course, the game's delay prevented this from coming out sooner. Basically, this video is about going to the new and leaving behind the old. Of course, I used the Melee cutscenes where I shouldn't have, but that was because nothing else fit there.
As for the "jerkiness" in the slow parts of the video, I'm not sure why that's there, but I'm guessing that those scenes were altered to such a low speed that it messed things up. I apologize for this. To explain any other details that don't seem right, I did analog capturing for my footage.
I hope you enjoy this video.

I used Sony Vegas 6, and yes, it's a legal copy.
I'm not sure if you would call it a capture card, but I used this and its editing software to get the video:
Here
And I captured it as a DivX AVI since it would only let me do that, MPEG-2, or DV. Then, I encoded the parts I needed to Lagraith with Virtual Dub.
Despite the these flaws, what did you think of the video?

oh god
now I will not be the first one to anounce a Brawl GMV here D: (I blame my lack of time though)
anyway...

EDIT: Well the first half kinda turned me down, dunno it was a mix of that jerkiness, lots of pixels (I only get bluriness with Pinnacle, not Pixels like that O.o) and the song wasn't what I was expecting in a brawl video.
BUT the second half was way better, some good editing here and there and since the song kinda picked up, so did the rest of the vid (though the jerkiness kept driving me crazy). One thing, there is a frame with Peach and Zelda's names, I know you didn't want to show those comparing the rest of the SSE scenes.
mmmmmmm I think it could have been better, I think some Final Smashes would have been cool in that mix, but thats my opinion
not bad, but it needs some clean up and I really can't think how you got that jerkiness in the slow down scenes O.O.
2.5/5 (mainly cause of the quality, sorry)

What I think I'll do next time in order to fix or at least reduce is put the Wii AV cables into the input, and use some AV cables, connect them to the output and TV next time. As for that frame, for some reason, Vegas did not pick that up. I found it at first and thought I had gotten rid of it. Turns out I didn't and I just did not want to go back to fix a minor (yet apparantly blantant) detail because I was too lazy.omegaevolution wrote:oh god![]()

The footage picked up once Sheik and Kirby came in because that's where the idea came to mind so I guess the beginning was naturally weak. The slow melody wasn't all that helpful either. Be glad that I cut the first part out. Also, I wanted the video to get better as it passed. I guess that wasn't a good thing, but it's better than to have it decline from the beginning.
I'm not sure if Final Smashes would've fit in well in the GMV. However, I have thought of using them in the finale of a Dance of Curve GMV that I have in mind, but I think I'll use that song for something trailer-esque.
If camera mode had been in, I think this video could've been a lot better and resembling the original music video a lot better.
Still, thanks for watching.
