Hmm...

What was it about the first one that you guys liked? I'd love to lose the masking at that part and put it back to the way it was (with the extra scenes of course).

Chrono: I like the masks idea at the end, but could you try to find more interesting shapes to use? The first spiky mask is perfect (The clip inside it too), but the rest seem too... Preset, and unrelated to the theme. A cool idea would be using the letters of "Gateway" as masks. That would be an awesome finish

Also, as background, I wouldn't do much. Something along the lines of what Ben did for his would be nice.

In general though, this is a million times better than your first. The motion on the masks looks good. If you used the Gateway letters idea, I wouldn't change it.

so this WC character has the nerve to im me and say that I need to work on the transition between our parts (lazy bastid hasn't done any editing since his first beta >_> )

so I fire up AE and throw something together. It's on the ftp, so I'd like to hear what you guys think (but I really only care about what sky and bauzi have to say)

transition.avi is the file (the quality is...less than great, but it works)

ps. I just made all that stuff up, he just wanted me to show him what I had in mind for the transition

The mask sucks. I hope you didn´t worked too hard on it. The outlines are not fine enough.

Yeah it´s ok. I can´t really say more with this surprising bad quality. ^^

@Kariudo: Actually, I really liked it a lot. I think maybe cutting out the top right corner would make it better. I think the poor visual quality accounts for why it looked rough though. I took a snapshot of it in VLC, and after looking at it, that little first poof of hair still has some blue on it, and there is a steady flow of blue around him. Im not saying to be Godly and make it flawlessly executed, I just think it needs a little fine tuning.

it was only meant to give you an idea of what I had in mind, I spent about 10-15 minues doing the whole thing (which means I didn't care about following every little curve or feathering)

+edit: alright guys, made a few little changes here and there (psst, Bauzi...you were right. Unsharp mask worked wonders)...and I'm ready to mux an .mp3 with my lag and send in my final.
I'm gonna make another .mp4 and upload it to guy's ftp. If there is anything you don't like, now is the time to tell me

I'm not gonna watch your final. Because i have faith in you (yes, you too chrono). I'm sure it turned out fine, I don't want to ruin the release after seeing all the finals, know what i mean?

It´s alright. I guess that the fade out at 00:16 could be earlier. For me it looks a bit off to the beat.

The rest is fine. It´s a minor change so you get an "ok" from my side. Let´s wait if Ben gives it too
