ORIGINAL CREATIONS

I will be holding a panel at Acen this year and possibly AWA on original animation creation in AMV's. What does this mean exactly? Anything you might have come up with of your own, drawn, animated, filmed, 3D, 2D, stills, to tell the story in your video. Or, maybe you could help me and point out somebody else who has.

I Am Looking For:

Original work you did or that you know of.

What I don't need:

As cool as it is and as painstaking as it is, rotoscoping, masking, manga used in anime etc.....unless somebody made it for their video. I already have a couple of examples of this kind of stuff taken to the extreme which I might show, but if I can find enough good original work, I probably won't.

Please don't hesitate to mention any videos, I'll check them out. Even the smallest original work sparks my interest, and I may be able to show it off and get the crowd interested in why it's so cool.

ALSO! If you know of any original animation that is ANIME or AMV related outside the org, please let me know. I am in contact with a couple of people who are trying to do what I'm trying to do and make their own film, but who knows, you might know of an awesome project somebody is working on that I do not.

Monty Oum has done some impressive stuff with 3D, including Haloid and Dead Fantasy I & II.

Whilst reading your post all I could think of was this, which is probably the closest fit.

A closer search through my folders also yields this (which is all original drawings), and this ErMaC video which is not only largely made of original drawings but also a lot of custom effects and a mix of the song made by ErMaC himself.

There are also a fair few trailer AMVs with originally recorded audio- I'd recommend this one and this one.

Finally, the special visual effects in this video are, ah, nothing if not original...
