Soul-searching

Do you know of animes about beings without souls/hearts who go about searching for ways of getting one? Like FullMetal Alchemist, AstroBoy, etc. ?
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.

Well, dunno literally but you could find such themes in The Soultaker.
