...the armor's value is pretty much worthless due to its decline. And now he's in debt and needs to pay off in two days which he's having a lot more trouble with.

I think Horo and Lawrence's relationship is getting pretty close dont you? It went from her acting all high and mighty to following him around and trying to help in his time of need.
