Is Hits on a video the #of times its been D/L or just the # of times the video profile page has been viewed?

It's the number of times the video profile page has been viewed. If it's your video, you can see the number of downloads on the "Edit My Videos" page.

hits is the # of times the info page has been viewed
you can get the # of downloads from the edit my videos button (you can only see your dls)

I was unsure where to find that info as i have been sitting on several videos and have only just recently started putting them up on the org

The Local (or direct depending on how you're hosting your videos) is the number of downloads you have received.
