A frustratingly imperfect song

Post by dronon » Thu Mar 06, 2008 4:45 am

I found a song that, by accident, is infuriatingly not perfect for an anime music video. I can't picture it lending itself very well to the format. But man, I wish it could.

It's a blues song, so the words are extremely repetitive and basically don't offer much of anything in terms of possible plot. The visuals would have to carry the entire task of creating a story - any story, really, since there's so little to work off from the lyrics. Plus there's a long instrumental where nothing's being sung at all.

The song? Annie Mae, by John Lee Hooker. Take a listen and you'll understand why.

okay and so what kind of suggestions are you looking for?
or are you wanting someone to make this for you?

I don't currently have the skills or materials to make a video myself, but your other option, "Wanting someone to make this for you" ... I enjoy connecting people with media. That's my motivation. If this song inspires anyone to do anything, even if it's something completely irrelevant to the original song and not a video, then great. If not, shucks, that's life. In either case, I move on.
