Comments:
As the title states, this is my first AMV. It was more of a test AMV and because if that, i chose to use a easy to work with song and anime. My main goal here was the get used to the programs I was using. Please read the comments on the page before watching. Any comments and/or criticism is appreciated. I just don't want any single line flames such as :"this sucks" I would like to know WHY it sucks and HOW i could improve.

Enjoy!

not bad for your first amv I did'nt like the use of effects, it was like the effects was at beat sync which was overboard.

Even without reading your comments about the video, it's noticeable that it was put together by experimenting with effects. (It's good to experiment on your first couple of videos though, so you can improve! :D) In my opinion, some of the effects worked very well and some of them not-as-much. I think the paint colors and sketch effects didn't go well enough with the live-action type of footage, but how you quickly went from desaturated color to normal color near the beginning seemed to fit pretty nice. I was not expecting the purple and red tint change from about 3:10 onwards. It created a whole different feel to the video and with the text, made it seem almost like a trailer. It was different, but nicely done and it made me wishing you had made it into a trailer or had done that effect more in the video. I noticed as the video went on, you got better and better.

You are really off to a great start! :) The timing and feel of your AMV was well overall. Good job.

Thanks to both of you for the compliments. Yes, this was made entirely to experiment with effects. As for my second AMV i will be putting more thought into the use of the effects and not just beat syncing.
