  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Hey people, I haven't posted a video on here before, but I'd appreciate feedback on my latest video.
Be gentle. :)

All right here, let's begin... Keep in mind I am only trying to give you constructive critsism and I am not (by an means) trying to be mean or condesending.

#1: Subtitles are a huge turnoff and make most AMV's look atrocious. Try buying or renting the Bleach DVD's in order to get DVD ripped quality footage.

#2: Video quality could have been better. WMV encoding could have been into something of better quality. There are several guides dealing with obtaining higher quality footage. ZarxGui is my personal preference.

#3: The video was totally random most of the time. The video had no coherence other than that it was pure action that had little to no semblence of sync to the music. Unfortunetly, I have to say that this AMV fits into the category of music+video=AMV. AMV's at times don't need a concept, yet this one was a special case, as it was totally deviod of conceptuality or sync.

#4: The dialouge towards the end was a nice touch though. The dioagloug swiching to the action was a nice bit of editing.

Wasn't my cup of tea, sorry. -_-

If you need any help with anything, don't hesitate to ask me or consult a guide.

YEt, for a first aMV, this was a tad above what people normally produce.

Ah I see. Yeah I only had the subbed version at hand, sorry.

It's not actually my first video. All my other music videos are plot driven, but I decided to do something different this time around. It's more like a tribute to the characters involved; If you don't consider the video to belong here, I don't mind removing it.
Sorry that it didn't please you.

Little to no sync? Really? I worked my butt off trying to match scenes in certain areas. :(

I'm glad you liked the dialogue.

I am planning to go back to coherent AMVs, but this was a one-off in terms of style, tbh.

hmmm... not a lot of people here speak german. Try to stick to english^^! I don't want to sound mean, but I was boooooooooored by your amv. There wasn't anything which could keep me interessted, but a bunch of people crushing their heads, which I have already seen a thousand times. If you want to keep the attention of me next time you should try to put in a clearly visible topic or sync to the music very very well. I am not the type of person who likes action amv's a lot, but there are tons of AMV's here you can watch to improve your skills or in order to get new ideas, because Bleach Action AMV's are certainly overdone

I think the scenes did'nt had sync to match with the song, scenes it was slow pace for a fast song could of improve quality and removing subtitles 2/5

Okay thanks guys, I knew there was something wrong with my video; since I'd been working on it for so long, I couldn't think objectively about it, which is why I invited other people to take a look at it.
Thanks for pointing out the flaws for me. I'll go back to narrative AMVs now.

But it's not a good idea to hide from a certain style just because you get bad criticism, If Anything you'd want to practice with that style until you make good videos with it.
