AMV for a challenge? for a pro to a noob

well my friend and I are going to challenge making a amv. anyone know how to do this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FfS-UH0tQ5k

how he makes the studio production, crop the outside subtitle still show though, perfect music effect, and make his own word at the end Gundam Seed Phase 0-1

it looks like he panned his logo around and added some light rays to it... thats about it..

what program are you using to edit? it might help people tell you how to make a logo like that.. You more than likely can't do it in a program like Windows Movie Maker...

and as for cropping off subs: The best way is to use the DVD as a source and not crappy fansubs.... though if you HAVE to crop there are guides hanging around for that

Premiere has a standard function called... yep you guessed it... "Crop"
and you can even use the "search" bar to search for it in you effects list, if you can't find it by looking, which happens when you have a gadzillion plug-ins).
Or do it in vdubb liek Katie said.
Alternatively you could use raws or ... zomgadvd!

I'm kinda not getting how this is a suggestion tho?
