This is my first serious AMV project, so be gentle. (-: I'm planning on using this as the Valentine's Day special for Berserk: The Abridged Series (an ongoing Berserk parody fandub which I regularly post on the YouTube), but I finished it rather early because I have a severe cold and can't get any work done as far as recording lines for the series proper anyway, so I decided to post it here first as a sort of a sneak preview if you will.

You don't have to have watched any of Berserk Abridged to enjoy this video, although having seen the original anime certainly helps.

Not a big fan of berserk, but I do believe that I will get it, because my good friend is over my shoulder and screaming at me to get it (he loves berserk to death). I'll get back to you with my critique later tonight.

EDIT:

Definitly not what I was expecting in the least.

Originality: Wow. First berserk video that I have ever seen that wasn't just about gratudious sex or violence. Nice song choice, BTW.

Quality: Meh. Was better than average, but still needed a tad of cleaning. Very nice quality for berserk.

Editing: Nicely edtied. Was overall pretty awesome. Best conceptualized Berserk video I've seen, without a doubt. But. Ended too abruptly. I would faded it out a tad bit more. Not to mention, the opening credits and closing credits annoyed me slighly. Lip sync was pretty solid and used appropriately. But every now and then I would hit a bad lip sync part and I would cringe.

Overall: Ok, my friend might have a point. Berserk might just be more than violence. X_X I'll have to check this anime out (he's been shoving it down my throat for two years, so I guess I'll borrow it).

Best kind of AMV for me. It's inspired me to watch a series I've never seen before.

I reccomend to everyone. ^_^

4.25/5.00

Ps: Nice little last segment after the end credits. ^_^

EDIT2: Left you an opinion

Yeah, that was cool :D .

This is one of my favourite series, with one of the greatest songs of all time. What's not to like?
I actually started something very similar, but I was using 'Tramp' by Otis Redding, which I think works better with caska and gatsu talking to each other, but doesn't work overall nearly as well as your choice. You must've put loads of effort into planning this.

I suppose the lip sync isn't perfect, but it does the job, and the video quality is probably what you'd expect for such an old series.

Oh, and the 'football hero' bit is just plain awesome. 5/5 for me, fwiw.
