you had to have a dual deck VCR, which was like, a few hundred dollars and i did not have that sort of money as a pre-teen,

not enough RAM.
minimal finances impede me from correcting this problem at this point. :-\
That's a lie.

I made my first video on a 1998 Sony VAIO with 64MB of ram and a 333mhz Intel Celeron processor running Adobe Premiere 5.1c. While I had access to JVC dual decks, and even a Play Trinity, they were not necessary for production.

And I bet you can certainly still successfully run Adobe Premiere 6.0 on whatever you have now. You may have really slow render times, but that doesn't mean you can't edit yourself, and you may have to deal with premiere locking up and crashing, so saving may be an every second enterprise.... but guess what? I did it back when there was no other option.

i would definitely say, "cast 2 stone",
that if your use of Drowning Pool
in your video,
constitutes "good music" or even "good AMV music" to you.....

you should second guess your entire life up until this point.
all of it.

do you understand music theory?
they (DP) uses four-chord progressions with distortion pedals just like 80+% of the artists you see on television or hear on the radio. they are laughable.

i'm not trying to be an indie-elitist bastard and i realize that minor keys in 12-note patterns with harmonizing instruments playing major and # variants (BY ONE PERSON) may not be for everyone, but don't ever pretend to know anything about music to anyone when giving an opinion concerning sound, okay?

knowing music theory has nothing to do with weather or not one can connect with a song... if the song has the emotion but only 2 chords over and over then yea people will like it no matter how simple the song is..

if a song has all sorts of uber awesome techniques but has no soul, people might like it on a technical level but most people aren't going to get into a song if they don't connect to it on a personal level.

for the record: I've not listened to your songs.

i realize all of this.
surely every person does.

music in general has FAR surpassed "that"
rudimentary way of judging a song,
you know?
