I don't see how anyone could not like Live or Collective Soul, though
How far can you get on Through the Fire and Flames?

I don't read into music that much, man. They're the beats I grew up on and I love them for that. The aural theory behind it makes no difference to me. I like the sound of Nineties Rock, I dislike the sound of Seventies/Eighties Rock. Not that much to it. As for "taste", surely you realize that it's all relative.

GAH! Yeah the icon is really screwing with me. Also the fact Flint and I have talked about GH before.Tono_Fyr wrote:I'm not flint, I'm just using his avatar in memory of him (he's trying to go away from the org or whatever).
And yeah I agree with your conclusions regarding Classic Rock, but then again I'm old and grew up with that stuff. At the same time, I can enjoy contemporary rock just fine and even some alternative (after all, I was in MS/HS then)...actually looking at the list, I only enjoyed Nirvana. I HATED Collective Soul and Live with a passion just like I had Queens of the Stone Age and the Hives with a passion currently.

I only recently got GH2 and 3 so I've played through everything on Medium and I'm slowly working through Hard mode, but am I the only one who wishes there'd be more melocore/punk stuff?
I know that the game was meant to make you feel like you're onstage with Joan Jett holding a small yapping dog, but a little less hair metal and a bit more modern music couldn't hurt. Some Offspring, maybe some NFG, MxPx, that sort of thing. Some fun songs that aren't insanely technical.
That said, my favorite songs from 2 and 3...
-My Name is Jonas
-Dead!
-Bulls on Parade
-Killing in the Name
-Heart Shaped Box
-Possum Kingdom
-Miserlou
-The Metal

I just beat the boss Lou on Medium the other day. I decided to try Foghat on Hard and got to 15% and booed off. Tried 2 other times and got to 20%. I suspect by the end of March I should be able to beat Slow Ride.
