Rule #46: Every AMV featuring dancing has to contain either a clip from the dance sequence in perfect blue or the ending theme from Haruhi.

Rule #47: Textless openings and closings are for losers and should never be used in a video. If you have to use the opening or closing credits of an anime, use the REAL credits with the TEXT. It looks so much cooler to have writing all over random clips in your video. If it also has subs/karaoke of the English translation of the original credits' song lyrics, that makes your video that much more awesome.

Rule #48: Resized animated gifs make awesome footage for AMVs.

Rule #52- Subtitles are a must, for any AMV. They clearly identify the editor as automatically AWESOME.
