Actually, I never even learned how to write cursive :o Which is especially ironic seeing how I originally learned to write in Russian and Russian schools are very particular about teaching cursive. However I was too smart to go with the flow, and although I made some half-hearted attempts to learn it in my first three years of school, by grade 5 I said "fuck it" and started printing everything. And I mean it's not just writing - I just have atrocious hand-eye coordination in general. Not that it bothered me, and fortunately the content of my writing always made up for it for teachers who had even half a brain :P

Sto, lay off my attempted azn. Jasper's made fun of my kanji enough already.
Guy - fuck off plz :?

I mean I can still do my name and stuff (kinda, i usually just make up some bullshit scribble for the 'z'), but for the most part I can't really write much in cursive anymore. Isn't that the most useless form of writing ever created? It doesn't even make any sense, because EVERYONE writes it differently, and then you cant read shit that anyone wrote if they wrote it in cursive.
From my experiences, teachers up to like 7th grade had a stick up their ass regarding it. Afterwards, most wanted you to print everything. My printing sucks anyways, so even now I dread the exams for my random electives (they know enough within the CS department to not ask us to write stuff out by hand) because i'm never able to write anything legible.

When I was in fourth grade, the school forced us all to write everything in cursive. I have no idea why they did that other than to exercise abitrary power over us. Then when I switched school in the middle of the year, I kept writing in cursive out of habit, and the teacher actually had to force me to stop writing in it because it was so bad.

Penmanship is so overrated.

I can do my name in cursive, sorta, I have to stop and think about what I'm doing, but other than that, no clue. I probably know how to make maybe half the letters. The rest of the time I write in... well, it looks like print, but all my teachers assure me it's heiroglyphics. I never capitalize, and vary between cap and regular often. Whichever one comes easier. And, like a picture of me, I have none online.

My handwriting has been compared unfavorably to hieroglyphics.

My handwriting is a joke. Its about 2 steps above chicken scratch. I'm left handed so its hard to have decent handwriting because you have to push all the letters. My writing has a jagged and forced quality to it. /crutch

I type with the middle finger of my left hand, and the index and middle finger of my right. Its kind of an advanced hunt-and-peck technique. People marvel at how fast I type, with just 3 digits.

I wrote this post in 8 seconds.

Mine's pretty much the same :( Having to write stuff out at work has only made it worse, as I try to write as quickly as possible. I only know two people with worse handwriting, and one of them has a motor skills dysfunction and the other has a motor skills dysfunction and is a doctor :|
