How do you make the font in your signature small?

go to any thread, click the "post reply" button, type the text you want in the message box, hilight all the text in the box, go up to the font-size drop-down menu, click the apropriate size, the tags should appear around the text that was hilighted, then, again, hilight all the text inside the message box, and cut-copy it into the signature box in your profile.
the text should show-up like you want. don't believe me, look at my sig.
