Hmmmm. I like this plan.Kionon wrote:The best way to deal with this is to put up a more professional looking boochsack profile, put up all your videos, and place a link to your profile in a comment. Most people will be smart enough to figure out why you did that when they visit your profile.

I link to my yout<b></b>ube profile in my org profile... and in my youtube profile I say something to the effect of "yes, this is me :/ ... if you need proof go to my profile on the org it links back here." I prefer not to link to the org from that site... however I do link to my own site (which doesn't get many hits from the tube anyways).
Since so many people had seemed to be having identity problems I decided that would be the best way to "prove" who I am.... plus on several of my profiles i have a block of links that is "me in other places"
I've been accused of stealing my own video only once, but it was by a person who really liked the video and was trying to "look out for the original creator" I told her to look at my profile on the org and match the videos with the ones on my account, and I even have the same screen name on both (which is about the time I started linking and why I started linking.) and actually THANKED her for looking out for me. I also keep a playlist of all my videos that other people have uploaded. I donno if that helps any, but I haven't been accused of such things since :3

Well, I would have been nicer about it if they hadn't called me an asshole. And? Flag it as spam. Submit a copyright violation notification if you have project files and such you can use as evidence.Songbird21 wrote:I would, but unfortunately they've changed the flag system.BasharOfTheAges wrote:er... flag it? Get other people to flag it and post comments and shit?

I think they mean the actual rights to the anime and music they used in the vid.mirkosp wrote:http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... .php?t=289Songbird21 wrote:How could it be a copyright violation when I don't own the footage or the music?BasharOfTheAges wrote:Submit a copyright violation notification if you have project files and such you can use as evidence.

That's questioned a lot everywhere, but remember a thing: YT is "allied" with the majors, so that YT users are allowed to post videos using their songs. That solves it for the music question.wurpess wrote:I think they mean the actual rights to the anime and music they used in the vid.mirkosp wrote:http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... .php?t=289Songbird21 wrote:How could it be a copyright violation when I don't own the footage or the music?BasharOfTheAges wrote:Submit a copyright violation notification if you have project files and such you can use as evidence.

For the anime question, anime studios often permits fan things like amvs and parodied dubs as long as the content is changed enough. They see them more like a way to promote the anime itself then something that actually violates copyright.
