Even if the morrow is barren of promises, nothing shall forstall my return.

To become the dew that quenches the land, To spare the sands, the seas, the skies, I offer thee this silent sacrifice.

By the end of january I will either have a non-romantic drama or a horror done. It depends on which one grabs my interest. So I don't know if who will be first but hopefully I'll be one of the early ones.

I look forward to your Twisted Sister romance video.

Nerd got it right. The 'prize' for this is whatever self satisfaction you get from challenging yourself and succeeding. The price of failure is whatever self loathing you get from challenging yourself and failing.

Some of you are reading far to much into this. This isn't a set contest with die hard rules, this is basically a call for people to expand their abilities. Since people actually tend to respond better when given limits than an open ended 'improve damn you' I set the categories as a goal. If someone only does one or two videos in a new style instead of 8, well at least that's one or two more than they may have done otherwise.

Incidentally, there may be some value to doing the effects whore video first. That way you'll learn enough about effects to be able to add them in to later videos without screwing it all up. Just something to think about

What a good impetus to get that dance-type video out of my system so I can go back to drama/serious. Eh. Actually, I'll try for all 8. Fail, yeah, but I'll try.
Always looking for the next bad idea.

I'll prolly do the trailer first.. Since I've wanted to for a long time. Then i'll prolly do the effect whore one sicne That'll prolly take me the longest.. seeing as how I'm a perfectionist and will not know where to start with the effects.. The horror will be kind hard cause.. My sources are hard to get there, oh well. this should be interesting

actually.. prolly 2009 a better year for amvs, since many of these will prolly suck, but 2009 will have people doing different things with experience behind it :O

But 2008 will still be a year with bigger variety. Which will mean a better year, no matter how bad the videos will be at what they do (there will most probably be good ones among them). :O
