I was surprised that in such a violent and degenerated society, there was still an Alpha Vampire :P.

I liked it on its own merits, though the ending was a little rushed. The movie is certainly (and unsurprisingly, considering it's Hollywood) not as nihilistic as the book.

Agreed. Disappointing except for some of the CG touchup of New York City to give it that secluded look. Actually, the first half is tolerable, but once it hits the last 30 minutes, it's dreadful.

Dark Knight IMAX prologue was fantastic though. :)

Hm, i just saw it. I liked it. Admitted, the CG was NOT the best i've seen. I honestly don't see why they just used actual actors ...
I laughed, i didn't cry, but it had it's sad points. The one thing that pissed me off was when ever will smith got hurt every was like "..." but as soon as the dog gets hurt the whole fucking audience goes "AAAWWWWW!".
I like how the zombies weren't as stupid as in most movies, yet i don't get how they were wearing the same clothes 3 years later ...and don't ask me where the lions came from ...lol. All in all, there were a LOT of loose ends and stuff that didn't make a lot of sense (like how they just ASSUMED the girl was cured, when she had just slowed her breathing and looked a bit more normal, it's not like she was conscious so they could actually tell) but if you ignore the many ...many flaws, it's pretty good, as i expected willie does a wicked job of acting crazy as fuck.

You're not in the minority. I didn't think it was ZOMG AMAZING, but I also didn't think it was terrible. It was worth a watch and I was actually surprised at how non-sucky Will Smith was with the character-related stuff.

I was however disappointed by the lack of "Aw hell no" in the film. He says it in EVERY blockbuster he's done so far. Yes, including I, Robot.

I'm pretty sure he says it in The Pursuit of Happiness also.
