While this is more of an annoyance than a true problem, could we perhpas have a limit set on the size of images posted in-message? I mean this both in terms of file size (and how long it takes to download) as well as image res (which makes it annoying to read if you keep your browser windowed and you have to keep scrolling back and forth...or if you're on a low-res desktop).
I hope that you all take the time to at least consider this, and thank you for reading it.

Post subjects are a waste of time
Not to pile more on their workload or anything, but it would probably be a lot easier to have the moderators make sure pictures are kept to these checks than the addition of code to reach the same conclusion. You know, set some public limits and have them remove abusing pictures in the same way that they would do when any other rule is broken.
Another reason why I wouldn't want it to be a universal automatic code thing is for the sake of things like the art thread. I think that so long as there's a warning in the title of a thread (much like spoiler warnings) about a large number of pictures and / or file size then there shouldn't be a problem with them (as with the spoiler warnings, the viewers will know what they're getting into).

Hey iserlohn,
As of now, it's an all or nothing kinda setup: images or no images. You may want to mention this to the phpBB developers (www.phpbb.com) and see what they can come up with. Maybe someone will develop a plugin to make it work.
