My g00dness I'm soo sick of this song! %#@$!

From basic research people who have worked on an amv for over a week using their favorite song tend to hate the song for at least 2 weeks or so. Well, maybe not research but this is how I feel about it. You take one of your fav song or even a song that kicks ass and edit to it, listen to each and every part of the song you're editing to at least 50 - 100 times and a couple of more times when watching your complete project. Does that not make you dis-like the song or make the song lose value to you? Maybe thats the reason why alot of use aren't as pleased as they want to be with our outcome at the end, because of the song being played 50 - 100 times.

Definentely agree to that :O. Actually many of the saosin songs i used to love i now hate due to me. Trying to edit them for about the past month. I just get sick of hearing the song being played at all. I also think you came up with this yourself and you ripped it off of wikipedia :jester: XD

that only occurs for me on songs I'm indifferent to... songs i really like i still like after editing to them, but at the same time... i have more free time than most people on the org and don't usually spend weeks on editing videos

x2.

I've never had an AMV make me sick of a song I liked.

Even with Big Apple Heartbreak (which I've made 2 amvs to), I still listen to that song regularly.

I seem to Edit to mostly songs that I REALLY like.. so when it's over I still listen to the song, it does make my listening experience different however, because after the amv, when I listen to the song. All I see is my amv.

x2. After I'm done a vid, I will usually be tired of the song for about a week (2 weeks to a month if I had a hard time with the vid. :P), but usually after my post AMV burn-out time is over, I can listen to the song again with no problems. Though, like Nerdstrudel said, I'll generally see my AMV in my head when I do hear it. *^_^*

I tend to almost never listen to the songs ever again after I edit them, I dunno, it's like I've become too shy to listen to'em now or something.

Like a couple weeks ago, I listened to Trapt - Enigma for the first time since my My Soul is Bleeding video(released back in '04)

When I used WMM I didn't want to hear the song again for at least 12 months and even now they make me twitch.
the effect has lessened since swapping to Premiere to about a 6 month period... and no twitching sideffects
but I still tend to hate them with a passion and take them off my playlists.
So I conclude Editing AMVs just makes me hate perfectly good music.
new banzors in the making :p

I've quit AMVs because of editing to a song that I didn't like :uhoh:
