@Devilcrafter .. you'll have to forgive us; VirtualDub and vdMOD have been around this board soo long that we don't even have a Guide to it anymore!
.. Virtual Dub is an Options Based Editor designed for quick and painless "single shot" video correction and modifying program. It was designed to solve problems that other editors at the time were not considering to be problems:
adding sub titles.
filtering "LIVE" and being able to view it .. in case something went wrong.
it can make use of the newest Codec's available.
it rarely crached.
it rarely caused problems.
.. and unlike Primiere 5.1, it held its value thru the years ^_^
.. Virtual Dub is never out of date and rarely needs to be updated. Unlike Primiere and Vegas, its plug-ins work on every VD Program ( with the exception of version 1.3a and older )
