And to think, in the time I spent writing it, I could have been doing nothing at all.

SO... about the idea again I said it's not bad.....
But it's not really something for me....in other word...
What's the point in watching music videos where you see some moving moments in the lives of people you have never seen before?????
and... noobtube sucks

take what you get, if it's only 2 cents you should be happyPas1990 wrote:I didn't want your 2 cents. I need 5 dollars damnitprYzm wrote:just my 2 cents
This is correct... it has to have anime as a video source to be allowed to be listed here. which is why the suggestion to put them on youtube is a good one, because youtube was made for home movies.Scott Green wrote:Okay your idea isn't bad at all....
But if you mean just taking animemusic and put it together with liveaction of friends, family, whatever and no Anime in the Video ----> I wouldn't consider that AMV anymore... and yeah you could never upload it here, meaning your suggestion is not really on the right site here....
to the original author of this thread:
Welcome to the org. A lot of banter goes on here, and it would due well for you to lurk a bit and read the org Forum Rules before posting much more. (your signature still breaks the rules).
Guides that might interest you:
how to play those videos? and how to use a-m-v.org
As for your suggestion all I can say is that it's been done... and done lots of times... I've even made one or two myself in the last couple years.. I don't see it as a "great project for this site" mostly because of some of the reasons pointed out in this thread: not everyone has a camcorder, and they wouldn't be allowed to be uploaded here..
anyways good luck with that..

Have you guys checked out "Jihaku" on You tube?
Yes.
The quality is really quite mediocre, but, expected for streaming.
What's really, truly, significant are the comments people leave.
Tyler obviously put his heart and soul into the AMV.
I can tell from watching it.
It's a mesmerizing mosaic of images and music, timed with the skill of a master craftsman, and, I can get this from seeing it on You tube (I can only imagine it's peerless when watched from a desktop).
But.
Like I said, it's the comments that are the artists truest reward.
Check it out :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bl48UzWcKrI
Most everyone leaves comments about how much they love the video, and admire Tyler for having made it.
What else can an artist want?
Why else does an artist (a real artist) create?
It's for the appreciation, for the emotional reaction, of the people who experience their art.
Posting a video on You tube, is a great way to find that reaction, and to find it from people whom you wouldn't even expect to give it.
Maybe a businessman stumbles across the video while taking a break, and enjoys it there in his skyscraper office overlooking the bustling city.
Maybe a park ranger watches it while he was searching for a video on wolves or eagles.
Maybe a house Mom sees it while looking for a video about one of those Animes her kids loves.
What I'm saying is that You tube makes it possible for all kinds of people to enjoy the blood, sweat and tears an AMV artist puts into their art.
I just can't think of anything more rewarding for their efforts...

No, sorry, these eyes are the only ones I got and I don't want to burn them at this moment in time.David Julio Wang wrote:Have you guys checked out "Jihaku" on You tube?
Look man, I'm only going to say this once, but noobtube is noobtube, and a-m-v.org is a-m-v.org
What are you trying to accomplish by telling us how awesome noobtube is? I think your efforts would be better spent at someplace else.
