It's only "colour" instead of "color" because they're an Australian band. (From my city actually - until they relocated to the UK the bastids :O saw them live last year and it was intense)

Im planning to make a techno amv using either Karas or Advent Children. Kinda similar to the Naruto/Bleach TB. So I need a good techo song , not really a aiming for a ddr song, but a techno song that his alot of nice unique beats I can hit with some interesting fc.

I already know these songs and do not plan on using them:

Firstly: the genres and styles often applied to music are open for interpretation. In fact there are very few 'set' standards when it comes to music types, so really you've just been a total child about the "ZOMG THOSE SONGS ARENT TECHNOZ"

Secondly: mycathatesyou isn't copying anything. It quite clearly says in the initial post (that I have bolded) "I already know these songs and do not plan on using them". Therefore trying to avoid using popular overused songs already. Keeping a similar theme, yes, but with completely different song, and possibly different source [from memory I've only seen one (crappy) 'techno' Karas amv and no AC ones].

Thirdly: you are hardly one to talk about "get your own fucking ideas". DBZ with Disturbed? DBZ with System of a Down? DBZ with Simple Plan? Advent Children with SoaD?

Fourthly: wanting to attempt a style that has already been done, and interpret it in your own way is very creative and can have interesting results. I personally always mimic the styles of others, taking parts I like, and then adjusting them and incorporating them into my own style. That way I evolve and get better. So, Kev, obviously if you're a firm believer in "ZOMG GET YER OWN IDEAS" then I don't think you'll be advancing in skill level anytime soon.

Pretty much everyone starts with doing overused Themes, however Back then I didn't even know what "overused" was. I just wanted to make combinations I liked, not copying someone elses Idea.

DBZ with Simple Plan - I only saw Vegeta Videos to this song, thats why I used the broly Movie, I didnt want to copy anyone's Idea.

DBZ with System of a Down - meh, random Action bullshit suck. I only liked the song and wanted to do it, but w/e that Vid sucks as hell anyways.

Advent Children with SoaD - It's an MEP Track, so That doesn't matter in this case =/ However, I did not see any other SOAD/AC Vid yet, I'm sure there are more, But I never watched any.

@mycathatesyou: (Strange name...) I myself already thought of the idea of making a TB to AC and I came to that conclution that nine inch nails - complication would fit really really good. But I let that idea die for my Centro de Advent (Sig) and also because I knew that I would never be able to do something good with that two source however if you decide to use complication with AC you have my support

Not really. Only annoying that you judge me for sucky Vids I made about a year ago. my Anime Horizont wasn't really wide back then. nor did I know of much Music Artists, however I still never tried to copy anyone =|
