O.K., ok, hold on. Let's not get nasty here.
I think the main problem of miscommunication is that people read my question differently and explored different aspects of it. So it may be this original line of logic which people read differently, responded to and thus influenced others to think differently and so on and so forth ending with everyone having a different set of logic, answering a different question.
To me this is fine, I think it's a good idea to explore all aspects of how, why, what where, etc. anime is brought to different countries by different companies, but realize that what I originally meant was which specific companies are doing a good job releasing anime (on DVD or VHS or TV, etc.).
I'm sorry if I was vague, but feel free to answer any of the more general questions as well.
However, please do not be so negative to specific people who reply (I'm talking about axron27's comment to valentine), in fact in this situation (valentine) was answering the question/statements, just maybe not yours (axron27).
{and this eventually begins to go off topic}
Aside from that axron27 you definitely have a good point, and I agree with you that anime has better role models than America provides (in general). However, there are many great American role models, it's just that sometimes you have to look towards the fringes and away from the mainstream media (though bands like U2 are pretty big, and I personally would say are a good role model for our youth, and yes I know they're not American, but the American media does give them notice). Furthemore, still on the topics of role models I would ask why do we need or look to the media to provide role models, is this not a foolish notion in itself. Most of the people I know don't look towards the American media for role models, in fact they look at it to see what they shouldn't be in many cases (even though Americans are generally hung up about money, but our environment forces us to be in some ways so don't blame it all on us). The best role models in America are either from our past, small time celebrities or, and most importantly, the everyday people in our communities (there are good people everywhere, it's just a few bad or small minded people ruin it for the rest of us, but this happens everywhere).
Just in case you were wondering I was born in America, but my parents were born in Poland and Greece. So generally now I think of myself more as a world citizen than anything (though technically I am an American citizen). I personally feel that a world were country matters less than humanity would be a better one (still of course with the maintanence of individual cultures).
Anyways that was a bit digressive, but the beginning is on topic so don't freak out.
