I didn't notice any ADV titles... looks like she does pretty much every US distribution company except ADV. Correct me if I'm wrong.

But still, I think ADV would be the best candidate to pick up the series.
Of all the companies, I agree that ADV has the most history of licensing show of this type: Excel Saga, Puni Puni Poemy, Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Cromartie High School, Azumanga Daioh, Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunso), and Pani Poni Dash!.

But since ADV has their own dubbing studio and cast, it's very unlikely that they go outside for voice talent. There have been a few exceptions like You're Under Arrest and recently, Ah! My Goddess where they reused an existing cast for continuity instead of recasting with an in-house team. I'm not sure about the logistics of ADV getting the US Haruhi cast to reprise their respective roles in a US Lucky Star adaptation. Most of the Haruhi cast are based in California whereas ADV is in Texas. And I'm not sure that it's cost effective for ADV to contract Bang Zoom! for the dubbing.

Considering the nature of the show, I think it's more important to cast a Konata that can replicate Aya Hirano's performance(s). Wendee Lee has proven that she can do a wide range of voices and if Bandai Ent. picks this up I think she's a lock for Konata. And if it is ADV, at least they can have Chris Patton do the voice of Anime Tenchou.

Supposedly there's a special teaser found in Volume 4 of Haruhi Suzumiya that pretty much confirmed that Kadokawa Pictures USA has licensed it. Now does anyone plan on getting that DVD and figure out who Kadokawa is collaborating with?

(of course I did discover a boobieshack link of it, but I can't tell if it's the real deal or not)

I already planned on getting that DVD. Just remind me because I'll be watching Wendee singing God Knows.

I have the Haruhi DVD 4 pre-ordered, but I haven't received a DVD before the street date in probably a year now. TRSI shipped TMoHS LE v3 a week before the street date, but IIRC I got it about a week later. As of today, v4 hasn't shipped yet so I expect it to get to me 2 to 3 weeks from now.

The 'tube video looks legit. It's in the right style and is consistent to what Bandai Ent. has done with Haruhi so far. Plus, the menu screen caps someone posted on another forum look authentic too.

It will be interesting to see if Wendee Lee can do a Konata voice that will equal Aya Hirano's performance. Of course, this is assuming that the same voice cast will reprise their respective roles...

ANN confirmed it:

Bandai Entertainment is planning on distributing it. Now let's wait and see if Bang Zoom! is going to dub this (which I'm banking on though).

Thank you even though I didn't say please.

I probably won't be buying special editions of this. Haruhi was expensive.

I hope they do a more standard release with this series; Haruhi is a special case. The big question is whether they use the JP R2 regular DVD covers, the limited edition covers, or something new? I must admit to the RE covers having a certain charm. :P

If they load the special editions with extras like they did for the Haruhi box, I definately will buy them. The Haruhi ones were expensive, but they went the extra mile to make them really awesome.
