im downloading the mix right now.....but still, id like in ^_^`Eclipse wrote:Soon, hopefully, this week or so. This is low-quality, considering I lent my CD out to a friend, just to gain some interest, but I should get it back, remix it (This is my first mix more or less, so I will probably redo it anyways to fix up some mistakes of mine), then release it for the project itself.Well...that's a very good mix,i cant tell where the audio cuts are in alot of the tracks Embarassed ,so i cant claim any tracks yet, when do you think the single segment tracks will be up?
Single-segment tracks should be released around the same time, I think.

I don't plan on being a part of this, but since I like the idea of it, here's my advice on the mix :
-Cut it to 20 minutes
-Cut "Jesus of Suburbia" into different segments, and spread them through the mix, ending the MEP with the final part.
-Maybe you were, but it didn't seem like you were trying hard to have a lyrical progression from song to song in the mix. Try to do that more.
Looking forward to the project

Bit confused on the last one. What do you mean by 'lyrical progression'?Greggus1 wrote:I don't plan on being a part of this, but since I like the idea of it, here's my advice on the mix :

I'm not planning on answering hte 2nd point until I learn what this means, because if I think I know what you're talking about, ending it with the final part of 'JoS' may not be suitable >.<
But yeah. So what do you mean?

By lyrical progression, I mean that you want to tell a story, and that the way in which you structure the mix allows you to do that. I know Green Day made this album as a story, and they did a pretty good job of it, but you have priviledges that they don't. Namely, the ability to cut tracks and spread them throughout, among others. Jesus Of Suburbia is the single defining track of the album, and spreading it throughout would give your mix focus and originality. And when they sing "You're leaving..." in the final part, that should be the end of your lyrical progression. Not to mention musically, it would be a great high to finish on (And Green Day obviously intended that)`Eclipse wrote:Bit confused on the last one. In simpler terms, that would be the way to kick ass.

That could also work =O seeing how well, JoS really is the defining track and tells the entire story of "jimmy"Greggus1 wrote:By lyrical progression, I mean that you want to tell a story, and that the way in which you structure the mix allows you to do that.
