I'd never make an AMV for the sake of making an AMV - I make AMVs because I like manipulating the characters like the evil puppet-master I am.

And yes, technical improvements for the future (and I'm still catching up with the current technical stuff) but hopefully any gruelling hours would be made pleasant because I like the characters.

And I don't want to have to become an anime artist in order to have fun with the characters. (am thinking of doing Flash, though...)

im 24, i have 2 children and a fiance. i have a full time job that i average a 50 hour week. i dont have the same time or enthusiasm that i had when i was younger, i struggle to find anime that holds my attention, and my music tastes have mellowed so much that i would be confused as to where to even try to begin. back when i originally started, i could relate to the characters and theme of the anime in a way that i could better interprate the music. maybe i outgrew the hobby, but i doubt that because i can still check out new videos and theres always one i can enjoy. mostly i think its the fact that i just try to visualize the music in my head now and dont worry about plotting it on a timeline. do i see myself making another video? i dont know, if i feel an anime has a theme that fits a song then sure, but if i cant then oh well, no big deal.

In a linear conception of time, the future is the portion of the time line that has yet to occur, i.e. the place in space-time where lie all events that still will or may occur. In this sense the future is opposed to the past (the set of moments and events that have already occurred) and the present (the set of events that are occurring now).

...but I can escape, for I edit NON-LINEARLY.

I will just continue to do the science.
Until I can get some more cake.

In the year 2525
If Koop is still alive.
If Decoy can survive, they may find.

In the year 3535
Ain't gonna need to tell the truth, tell no lies.
Everything you rate, op and play, is in the pill you took today.

In the year 4545
Ain't gonna need your cds, won't need your 'drives.
You won't find a thing to view.
Nobody's gonna look at You(tube).

In the year 5555
Your dots hanging limp at your sides.
Your hexagons got nothing to do.
Some program creating them for you.

In the year 6565
Ain't gonna need no AE, won't need no Pro.
You'll pick your song, pick your anime too.
Press the button and it plays for you. Whoa-oh

In the year 7510
If Godix is comin, he oughta make it by then.
Maybe he'll look around himself and say.
"What the fuck, you must be gay".

In the year 8510
Godix shakes his mighty head.
He'll either say: "Are you a wonder twin?"
Or it ends up in recycle bin. Whoa-oh

In the year 9595
I'm kinda wonderin if Brad is gonna be alive.
He's taken a Canadian from her home.
And he ain't edited since. Whoa-oh

ZS paints ten thousand cells
Zarx has made a billion hells.
For what we never knew,
Now AMV's reign is through.

But through eternal nights.
The twinkle of monitor lights.
So very far away.
Maybe it's only yesterday.

In the year 2525
If Koop is still alive.
If Decoy can survive, they may find.
