Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children

Post by CCChang » Thu Oct 11, 2007 12:13 pm

I heard somewhere that Advent Children is protected from ripping programs such as DVD Decrypter. Indeed, that was true for the first quarter of it. I then decided to rip individual Chapters of the first quarter I was able to get and well, I've got pretty much everything I need in a sense.

But still, I think it may help me (or may not, but you never know) if I had the first chapter that I couldn't get (I only got about 28 seconds of it before it couldn't get anymore of the first chapter). So, how do I get that last bit?

Also, a side question, but if I was to make a video of it, what would it be considered? I'm not sure if Advent Children is considered an Anime or not and what it would be considered if it wasn't an AMV in the end.

Many thanks in advance.

Advent Children is considered Anime.

As for The DVD Ripping I suggest using DVD Fab Decrpyter instead of the usual DVD Decrypter, while DVD Decrypter likes to give problems, DVD Fab always run perfectly fine even on dvd's that phailed in DVD Decrypter. You can get it HERE.

I had no problems ripping Advent Children (Region 1) with SmartRipper. From what I've read about the R2, though, it's got nasty ARccOS protection on it. The R1 doesn't, though.

I've tried the DVD FAB Decrypter. Thanks, it worked really well and I now have all the movie to use (of course, when I have time to do anything with them). Thanks again.
