Editing In AE CS3

Post by Anouye » Sat Oct 06, 2007 7:35 am

Hey i'm new here...

Can you actualy make an amv only in AE whitout using Premiere?
I mean is it better to work with AE alone? Cuz for me AE is easier then Premiere.

So how do you make an AMV by using Premiere for the clipping and AE for the effects?

You CAN make an amv in AE alone, but I do not recommend it.
It's much easier to make simple edits in Premiere. You can basically import your premiere pro projects into AE, or even just copy and paste things between the programs. If you use an older version of premiere, you can just export a lossless copy of your video into AE.

Ow Thnx XD

And someting else:

If you wanna export your video to AVI, how do you do that?
cuz if i do 'file-export-avi' if it's ready it's real bad quality...
Is there something I'm doing wrong?

Set the codec (compressor) to uncompressed.

It has to be an object that both programs can understand, such as a video layer. For instance, you cant bring a text layer from after effects over to premiere. You also might need to have CS3 of premiere, I'm not sure.

Mmm...

I will download the demo of Premiere CS3 and try.
Now I just export and import. (It's my first AMV :o )
