I think I did farely well.
Please tell me what you think, and how I can improve.

Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Re: Final Fantasy Unlimited-Gravity of Love
the "DIRECT" links should probably be "indirect" links* (indirect links will open in a new window so people dont have to attempt to go back through their browser) - that can be easily changed on the "edit my videos" page then go to "links" and check the one you want to edit and press "edit" then just change the DIRECT to indirect.. no stress either way..
also thanks for putting up a downloadable link.. streaming sites tend to mush and change and down sample so its really hard to give advice on editing and presentation when watching on a streaming site.
1. deinterlace your source BEFORE editing.. those lines that go across the screen when there is movement thats called interlacing, the easiest way to get rid of it is to just deinterlace in Virtualdub Mod by opening the file in the program then going to Video->Filters->deinterlace->blend both fields together (best) but then you will have blending, if you prepare your source using virtualdub mod then you can just insert that step into the ripping process...
another way to do it is to use an avisynth script.. I believe there are examples of what kinds of scripts you can use in the guides..
Read <a href=http://www.a-m-v.org/guides/avtech31/>ErMaC & AbsoluteDestiny's Friendly AMV Guides</a> to find out more (look at the parts about ripping DVDs it should be in that area).
2. disable your divx logo... or just don't use DIVX encoded source files and you won't have the logo popping up in the corner... though truthfully it wasn't too bad, if you wanted to you could just crop off the black borders and the logo would be cropped off with it.. of course if you have a full screen source, you probably wouldn't be able to do that unless you want to crop off a good chunk of the bottom of the video as well, so it's best to either disable the logo or just not use DIVX files to edit with.
huffyuv encoded clips I'm told work best in Windows Movie Maker (I'm pretty sure that's what program you are using) huffyuv makes rather large files so be sure to have enough hard drive space if you are going to use them... also, if you wanna save space you can make short clips of only the parts you plan to use..
I think you did okay editing-wise:
I would have put the white flashes more on the beat though... (I hope this makes sense) on the shaboom sound O.o or i woulda had it just fade out / cut to black on that sound..
you had a good Mood Sync, I suppose, I don't really know the video source all too well.. the white flashes went well with the mood at least.
I think with a song like this, its better to try to tell a story, since its a long mellow song that has a lot of emotional depth.. try to connect the song to one of the characters (I see you did that a bit, but I guess its possible that I don't get the scene choices, I haven't seen the show)
it makes me want to see the show O.o as some of the visuals are pretty neat and I'm a sucker for eye candy >.> (pretties, sparklies, and just really odd or neat visuals)
anyways interesting vid... keep working at it and I hope you improve O.o

presentation could have used a bit of work:Crash2991 wrote:Please tell me what you think, and how I can improve.
