Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

(Although it may just be the song :D)
Nah, I liked the storytelling to it, it was very interesting. Plus, liked how some of the fights were edited up a bit (Although this may not be new, I just haven't watched many AC vids to know for sure)
No one's used this song in a standalone AMV before, not that I could find. I guess that makes this an atypical AMV, as far as music goes. That's not why I used this song, though, even if it is a bonus of sorts.

Which fights are you referring to? And I assume you mean edited like, clips matched with clips from completely different parts of the fight to make a new fight? The duel sequence is probably the most blatant example of an edited fight that is difficult to spot, but if you weren't sure all around, then YAY for me! I did my job! :D

I would never have thought to use this song in ANY AMV if I hadn't been struggling for over a week to get my AC rip to look like I needed it to (Just when I thought it was going all right, I found out I was wrong when I thought I was right - um YEAH!). this song turned up on my alarm clock and that was that.

The idea of Cloud getting cocky with Kadaj and then realizing he's screwed was hysterical to me, largely because AC doesn't play up the humor in this moment. You don't see it in the movie but I can't believe that somewhere in his mind he wasn't thinking "GOD F****** DAMNIT!!" when Sephiroth appears. It still cracks me up to no end, because that's all I see in the moment, now.

Noticed this in your sig, and wow, that's a great AC vid! With such limited source material too (one fight!)

I really felt this seemed to be an 'extra' scene in the movie, it really didn't seem to fit in very well, but your video really does lift out the dialog that is going on here and returns some value to it past the Squeeee!
23:19 (snip) I actually agree with everything quadir says.
