Dissolve/trans question

Post by Nappy » Fri Oct 25, 2002 6:47 pm

Ok, so I got this transparency clip, and I wanted to dissolve the 2nd clip into the 1st then dissolve then both to black. I can do the first part, but I'm not sure how to fade both clips to black at the same time. It will only dissolve the 1a clip, any ideas?

I'll assume you're using premiere.

Just use a black still the same size as your video resolution, put it on a higher track than the other two clips, set the duration as necessary, then set the opacity rubberband from 0 or nearly so to climb to 100% at the end of the black clip.

You're using transitions you need to learn how to use the rubber bands.

You'd want something like that.
